3 Ways to Promote Earth Day

After experiencing a series of clipper storms, signs of spring are finally blooming in the Tri-State area. Last week, our local water ice franchise, Rita’s, gave out free water ice to excited patrons. And, just yesterday, Philly soaked in the warmth of a 60-degree day. Of course we’re already back to gusty winds and 40-degree temps, but I won’t get all sanctimonious here about the effects of global warming and climate change.

I will, however, use this opportunity to remind you that Earth Day is April 22. There may not be presents and chocolate involved, but Earth Day brings awareness to something more significant than dancing cupids and giant teddy bears. Unfortunately, it’s an easy date to forget—especially if you live in a suburban area where trees are replaced with strip malls. Consider this a friendly reminder.

So the date is now penciled in on your calendar (or iPhone), but what are you supposed to do with it? Promote it, obviously. Reusable mug, anyone? Here are three other ways to show your Team Earth support—on Earth Day and every day.

1. Recyclable Organic Cotton Tote Bag from Allcasion Travelware

No complicated pitch here. Why wouldn’t you sport a recyclable organic cotton tote when you’re out and about? Even better, why wouldn’t you get “I <3 Earth" imprinted on this 12 oz. tote bag to show them you mean business?

2. Bio-Degradable Corn Pen from ALPI International

Kill two birds with one stone by showing off your company’s logo along with your concern for the environment. Made from corn, this pen also can be used to rewrite painful clichés.

3. Scout Aluminum Sports Bottle – BPA Free from Bel Inc.

Just say “no” to chemical poisoning! Featuring a screw-on cap and carabiner clip, the sports bottle is ideal for hiking, camping, biking and other earth-friendly activities.
