Gill Studios Inc. has recently announced that is has hired Lisa LeMond as its director of sales for the development and management of a new outside sales force. Lisa comes to Gill with 17 years of promotional products experience working as the international account manager from Norwood/BIC. This newly created position is to support the company’s inside sales management team and to develop a bigger presence in the field. “Lisa will bring a wealth of outside sales knowledge and relationships to the company,” said Paul Lage, president and CEO of Gill Studios. LeMond officially starts January 4, 2012, and will be working at the PPAI Expo in Las Vegas and the ASI Show in Orlando.

CPSC Reinforces Children’s Sleepwear and Loungewear Enforcement Policy to Apparel Industry

In an effort to remind the industry of the obligations associated with children’s sleepwear and loungewear, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC’s) director of compliance and field operations sent a letter to manufacturers, distributors, importers and retailers today reinforcing CPSC staff’s enforcement policy on children’s sleepwear and loungewear.

CPPA Spotlighted on Baltimore’s Fox 45 News for Donation to Winter Coat Drive

Chesapeake Promotional Products Association (CPPA), West River, Md., was thrilled to participate in the 5th annual Warm Holiday Wishes Coat Drive for St. Vincent de Paul Charity in Baltimore. On Monday, December 19, CPPA representatives dropped off almost 100 coats, hats and gloves at the Fox 45 News station in Baltimore. Each year Fox 45 News hosts the drive to support St. Vincent de Paul’s efforts to provide warm clothes for the homeless. Fox 45 News interviewed CPPA board member Megan Erber, who spearheaded the drive, about the donation.

Cintas Corporation Announces Fiscal 2012 Second Quarter Results

Cintas Corporation reported results for its second quarter ended November 30, 2011. Revenue was a record $1.019 billion, representing an 8.8 percent increase compared to last year’s second quarter. Organic growth, which adjusts for the impact of acquisitions, was 7.0 percent.
